The fishing log app that writes down the conditions for you.

One photo logs the catch. Log.Fish adds the spot, the time, and the wind, tide, waves and weather from that exact moment.

A Log Sheet in Log.Fish: striper photo, the spot's name and the conditions at the catch

How it works

A catch log in three taps.

  1. 01

    Take the photo.

Or pick one from your camera roll. The date, the time and the spot come with it.

  2. 02

    Drop the pin.

Confirm where it happened. Conditions are pulled for that exact spot and time, so nobody types weather on a rocking boat.

  3. 03

    Pick the species. Done.

Weight, length, Method (fly, casting, trolling, jigging, drifting, bottom), bait and a story in text, voice or video are optional. Never required.

The Log Sheet

A fishing log with weather, tide and moon.

Every catch becomes one Log Sheet. The photo, the species, the exact spot on the chart and the time sit at the top. Under them, the conditions for the hours around the catch.

  • Wind speed and direction
  • Sea state and wave period
  • Tide stage and height
  • Sun and moon
  • Barometric pressure
  • Water temperature
  • Currents
  • Cloud cover and rain

Gold means the app filled it in. Your notes, gear and bait sit under the conditions, and every value shows in your own units.

A paper log gets you the fish. A Log Sheet gets you why it bit.

Why log at all

How to keep a fishing log that pays off.

Patterns only show across a season. One good night tells you nothing. Thirty of them tell you the tide, the wind and the moon that put fish on your spot.

Memory keeps the fish and loses the wind. A log that fills itself keeps both, and the Analysis screen sorts your catches by tide stage, wind, moon and time of day so the pattern is there to read.

Yours by default

A private fishing log. Your spots stay yours.

Your Log is private. Nobody sees a Log Sheet unless you share it.

A photo you make public shows the fish, not the spot. Every picture on Log.Fish has its location removed.

Forecast

Plan the next trip from the same screen.

The forecast reads like your Log Sheets. Simple gives a quick yes or no for each part of the day. Detailed gives hour-by-hour wind, waves, tide and currents.

Save the spots you fish and the forecast for each one is a tap away.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is Log.Fish free?

Yes, to download and to log. Pro Logger unlocks the full conditions and forecast.

What does a fishing log app record?

With Log.Fish: photo, species, spot, time, and the conditions at that moment, plus anything you add. Think of it as a fishing journal that fills itself in.

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes, both.

Can anyone see my fishing spots?

No. Your Log is private unless you share it, and the pictures we show on Log.Fish have their location removed.

Is an app better than a paper fishing log?

Paper keeps the fish. An app keeps the conditions too, and finds the pattern across a season. The full comparison: Using a Fishing Log App vs a Paper Logbook.

Do you have a printable fishing log?

Yes, free: the printable fishing log (PDF).

Every fish you log makes the next trip smarter.
